Continental Shelf Border Research is assisted by Atomic Icebreaking Fleet

            Atomic icebreaker “Rossiya” is leaving port of Murmansk on July 05 to escort science and research vessel “Akademik Fedorov” during her second expedition. “Akademik Fedorov” will do her main research at the Lomonosov Ridge to gain data necessary to determine the outer borders of the Russian continental shelf.
            i/b “Rossiya” will be escorting the research vessel during the whole expedition to guarantee constant speed and thus ensure precision of the collected data. The voyage is expected to last about two months. This is the direct continuation of the last year expedition when “Akademic Fedorov” was piloted by atomic icebreaker “Yamal”.
